ieS LABO only trades oil from vegetal origin. In nature there is thousands oily plants or fruits but only a few of them are run over the world.

Oil can be obtained by mechanical (cold pressure of seeds) or chemical process (solvent extraction, mostly hexane). Once expressed, oil is filtered and can be refined or not. The different steps of refining are discoloration, deodorization, dewaxing and neutralization.

 

Obtained by cold pressure means that seeds are ground and crushed to obtain oil. Pressure occurs at room temperature without any heating operation.
